Our future and deepening the minds and hearts of our communities.

So, what are our goals of just being a close-knit family that cares about each other and celebrates holidays together? We would like for the younger generation to restart the breakfast group at Cristo Rey Catholic Church again as we did it for so many years. I was the only cousin who acted like a busser and collected the dishes, utensils, and glasses which I would return them the dishwasher for reuse.

All the uncles and aunts chipped in including my mother as the dishwasher and my father taking orders. He would probably try to sell you some tires too! Lol. He never volunteered with work on his mind. We did our part once a month with grace and delight. It pleased my grandmother that her children had enough faith and discipline as much as she did to give to the church. All it took was faith and love. A simple not a complex understanding.

Then we would go to our jobs and families and prepare for the next family event. We planned over the years during the holidays. And this is the vision for Now and the next generation. Our vision is for us is to keep these generations intact.

Local Government and Community Events

Our inspiration and hopes are to be involved with governmental and community events that matter to Austin and surrounding areas, as well as the great state of Texas. With that said, our communities involvement in Elgin, Dripping Springs, Del Valle, Bastrop, Kyle, San Marcos, Marion, San Antonio, Chicago, and Austin will bring unification and education through political lobbying, becoming the institutions and actors in a systems thinking model to name a few ambitious projects for newer generations to come.

Of course, there will be practical ways of helping the community like providing food for the homeless. volunteering at church, having drug-free fairs, employment fairs, blanket and socks drives, shoe drives, and health drives such as diabetes monitoring and psychiatric monitoring too. Of course, all this will start out of our own pockets until donations and funding come to the Herrera Foundation.
